Horry County continues to find ways to make spending a day on the sand more convenient for residents and visitors.
Later this spring, new restrooms will open at two additional beach accesses in unincorporated Horry County.
Horry County Maintenance, Beach Services and Public Works oversaw the installation of these new restrooms at the Nash Street access in the Myrtle Beach area and the Hawes Avenue access in the Garden City area.
These additions build on ongoing efforts to enhance amenities along the county’s coastline. Restrooms were previously installed at the Cottage Beach, Seabreeze and Calhoun beach accesses.
The restrooms were funded by Horry County’s impact fees—one-time charges paid by developers to support infrastructure and help maintain our community’s quality of life.
