Just in time for the summer rush, there’s a new parking lot available at the corner of Atlantic Ave and Dogwood Drive N in Garden City.

The new lot, which is just steps from the beach, opens up about 30 FREE parking spaces for residents and visitors to enjoy.  Green space and benches will be incorporated to enjoy the views.

The parking improvements also include accessible spaces along Atlantic Ave, making it easier for everyone to enjoy the area.

These temporary improvements precede a broader streetscape enhancement project planned for 2027, stretching from Waccamaw Drive to Atlantic Avenue.

Vehicle parking is permitted from 6 a.m. to 2 a.m. Overnight parking is prohibited.

The new lot also opens up an opportunity for food truck operators looking to bring their flavors to Garden City.

This prime location—at the corner of Atlantic Avenue and Dogwood Drive N—can host up to five food trucks at a time, making it a great spot to catch the attention of hungry beach-goers.
