Horry County Government has updated the Strategic Plan. This plan is a roadmap for how we serve the community, how we grow with the community's needs, and how we lead the community as one team.
Horry County is growing and evolving, and so are the needs of county employees, residents, and visitors. The plan focuses on what matters most: supporting our people, investing in leadership at every level, aligning our goals & budgets, and improving how Horry County serves the community, by setting clear priorities, recognizing excellence, and continuously improving how we deliver for our community.
Under the strategic plan, our new mission: We are committed to building a bright future for Horry County by delivering public services with excellence, protecting what makes our community special, and creating opportunities through progress and partnerships.
Under the strategic plan, our new vision: Our vision for Horry County is a safe and healthy community that recognizes and respects our rural heritage, maintains a focus on future growth and economic diversification, and partners to provide the infrastructure necessary to drive long-term sustainability.
Under the strategic plan, our new values are character, collaboration, service, caring and quality. These five pillars represent who we are, how we show up for each other, our community, and the future of Horry County.
