- Duties for this Position

- Respond to and resolve help desk requests from both local and remote staff.
- Use your expertise and available tools to assist with networking, telecommunications, PC hardware/software, and application issues.
- Document support incidents accurately and contribute to performance reporting.
- Apply strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to resolve technical issues effectively.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with both technical and non-technical users, even under pressure.
- Collaborate with the Network Infrastructure Manager on strategies for datacenter and end-user environments, including software/hardware roadmaps and emerging technologies.
- Lead or support technical projects of varying sizes.
- Diagnose and resolve problems, including desktop, server, network, storage, and software (e.g., Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, WSUS).
- Test and evaluate new technologies to ensure they integrate seamlessly.
- Develop and manage software deployment packages using tools such as Microsoft Intune, Microsoft System Center, Active Directory, or similar platforms.
- Generate reports to support informed decision-making in areas like licensing, patch management, and asset tracking.
- Escalate complex issues when necessary to ensure prompt resolution.
- Participate in an on-call rotation and work occasionally after-hours to minimize disruptions to county operations.
- Position Minimum Requirements

- Associate's degree in Computer Technology plus two years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong ability to learn new software applications quickly and apply creative problem-solving skills.
- Solid knowledge of desktop operating systems (primarily Microsoft), Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Microsoft Office, basic networking, and hardware troubleshooting skills.
- Must be able to pass the required pre-employment physical and background check.
