General Job Description
Under general supervision, performs work involving operations of security systems for Myrtle Beach International Airport. Assists both external and internal customers by answering phones and dispatching emergency responders and other duties include issuance of Airport identification badges.
- Duties for this Position

- Monitors Myrtle Beach International Airport security systems, CCTV systems, and fire alarm systems.
- Communicate information to Airport departments, tenants, and county, state and federal agencies as required.
- Assists with the issuance, training, and compliance of Airport Badging.
- Be able to dispatch Airport Police and Airport Fire using 2-way radios.
- Assist Operations staff with gate management and flight tracking using various software.
- Help maintain Airport Lost and Found.
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with FAR part 139, and CFR part 1542.
- Correctly operate AVPOS cashier system and World Fuels Credit Card machine.
- Be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, sometimes during stressful emergency situations.
- Have a high level of customer service as this position directly assists both internal and external customers/passengers with a variety of needs.
- Be self-motivated and able to work alone and in a team setting.
- Light cleaning duties.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- A working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Perform other related duties/assignments as required.
- Position Minimum Requirements

- Applicants must be detail oriented, able to work as part of a team, self-sufficient, and remain calm under pressure.
- Requires a high school diploma or GED and experience in related field, business administration or any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities.
- Must be able to pass required pre-employment physical and background check.
- Shift work is required including nights, weekends, and holidays with the capability of working 12-hour shifts.
- This position is a 3rd SHIFT OVERNIGHT position.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position for the majority of shift.
- Must be able to operate a computer as well as other office equipment including keyboard, mouse, two-way radios, copy machine and handheld PA announcement system.
- Applicants will be required to communicate with multiple agencies, both internal and external, during emergency and high stress situations. The applicant must be able to communicate the information clearly and easily in these situations.
