Under minimal supervision, is responsible for planning and directing comprehensive recreation programs to best meet the needs for the Parks and Recreation Department at the designated Recreation District location. District Location: South Strand. The District Supervisor develops professional relationships with community groups and individuals to foster strong partnerships and recreation in their district. The District Supervisor assists in developing policies and procedures to ensure that the County Parks and Recreation programs reflect the best use of allocated funds. Assists in preparing and administering department budget; ensures all work is conducted within budgetary constraints and according to County policy, codes and standards of quality. Reviews performance of subordinates for completeness and accuracy. The District Supervisor plans, manages, and directs the activities of assigned staff at the Recreation Center in order to ensure the efficient daily operations and maintenance of the facilities, programs, and community outreach. Assists as needed with additional duties and responsibilities. Assignments are in the form of general outline or desired results, with methods and routines expected to be developed and implemented as appropriate.
