Applications Still Being Accepted for Non-Profit Organization Grants
Horry County is still accepting applications from non-profit organizations for eligible Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) projects for the 2023 funding cycle. A total of approximately $150,000 in CDBG and $175,000 in ESG funding will be made available for eligible projects.
Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds are provided by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) in order to improve local communities by providing decent housing, improved infrastructure, public facilities and services, and improved economic opportunities. Applications for public service projects must primarily serve low to moderate-income persons. Questions may be directed to Griffin.Jennifer@horrycountysc.gov.
Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) funds are provided by HUD to assist projects that benefit homeless persons and individuals at risk of homelessness. Qualifying non-profit organizations may apply for funding for eligible projects through ESG. Questions may be directed to: Wiestner.Carol@horrycountysc.gov
Applications are due on Monday, February 13, 2023, at 5 p.m. and are available for download on the Horry County Community Development website at: https://www.horrycountysc.gov/departments/community-development/public-notices/

Horry County Race Series 2023
If your 2023 goal is to get moving, the Horry County Race Series can help you on your way.
Open to competitive runners, carefree walkers and everything in between, all Horry County Race Series events are family-friendly and sure to help you achieve your fitness goals.
There are three races scheduled for Spring 2023:
- Saturday, March 25 at 8 a.m. - Pier to Pier 5K
- Sunday, April 16 at 8 a.m. - Robbie Jordan Memorial Road Race 5K
- Saturday, May 13 at 8 a.m. - World Famous Blue Crab 5K
